The emerging Duo Alto is a unique ensemble, combining the talents, creativity, and passion of two musicians: flutist Anat Nazarathy and saxophonist Noa Mick. The duo, with its rare instrumentation, focuses exclusively on the performance of contemporary music.

The duo was established in 2017 in Basel by the two, and since then was invited to perform in many international festivals and concert halls in Germany, France, Austria, Israel, and Switzerland.

The main aspect of the duo's work is developing its own original repertoire by closely collaborating with composers of varied styles and mediums.

 

By integrating new elements into its programs and performances, such as light design, scenography, staging, texts and theater, the duo strives to elaborate the conservative concert format and by so, attract new and diverse audiences to the experience contemporary music can offer.
