Henri-Selmer Paris saxophone artist Noa Mick brings a fresh and unique sound to the contemporary music world. Using interdisciplinary collaborations with video artists and sound engineers, theater, dance, innovative concepts, and leading composers, she presents new interpretations of contemporary music.

As a musical entrepreneur, Noa founded several ensembles, including Duo Alto (saxophone-flute) and the Henri Selmer Paris Artist endorsed Ensemble du Bout du Monde (saxophone quartet). 

As a performer, Noa has worked with such world-class composers as George Aperghis, Philippe Hurel, Frank Bedrossian, Philippe Leroux, and Jean-Pierre Drouet.

As a part of her chamber music and soloist work, Noa was invited to perform in Tzlil Meudcan Festival (Tel-Aviv, Israel), Schwetzingen Festival (Schwetzingen, Germany), Sound Plasma Festival (Tallinn, Estonia), Kuraia Festival (Bilbao, Spain), Musik21 (Hannover, Germany), the CEME academy festival of Meitar Ensemble (Tel-Aviv, Israel), Beethoven 2020 (Berlin, Germany), Unerhörte Musik- BKA Theater (Berlin, Germany), Radio France (Paris, France) and Royaumont Festival (Royaumont, France).

In addition, Noa was invited to perform as a guest artist with Linea Ensemble (Strasbourg), Ensemble Adapter (Berlin, Germany), Ulysess ensemble (Royaumont, France), and Meitar Ensemble (Israel), as well as a soloist with the Basel Chamber Orchestra (Basel, Switzerland).

Among her awards, Noa received First Prize at the Schlusskonzert Competition (Basel, Switzerland) as well as the Sorbonne Young Soloists Competition (Paris, France), received First Prize at the Hugo competition (Feldkirch, Austria), 3rd Prize and the "Prix de l'Espace 110" at the Illzach Chamber music Competition (Illzach, France) and First Prize as well as the Best Interpretation Prize at the Concours d'Interprétation de la Ville de Boulogne-Billancourt, for her performance with Ensemble du Bout du Monde (Boulogne-Billancourt, France). 

 

Along with her activity as a performing musician, Noa is a saxophone teacher at the music school in Sierentz, Hegenheim, and Village-Neuf (FR). 

Noa obtained her Master of Performance and Master in Pedagogy at the Hochschule fuer Musik, Musik Akademie Basel following her bachelor’s degree and DNSPM at the Pôle supérieur d'Enseignement Artistique in Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatory and the Sorbonne University in Paris, France.

Among her teachers were Jean-Michel Goury, Pierre-Stéphane Meugé, and Marcus Weiss.
